About Us
Overview
Butterfly Visionaries is a registered 501 c3 non-profit organization focused on providing support for young women and their children. Through Butterfly Visionaries, young mothers ages 15 – 20 years of age are provided resources, services, and coaching to break the cycle of unhealthy parenting.
Support to participants is provided through mentoring, coaching, and staffing. Participants must be enrolled in a high school completion program or post-secondary educational program, actively engaged in community service, and receive on-going case management services. Other supportive services will include financial literacy, therapeutic services, housing assistance, and workforce development.
The Program
From egg to adult, butterflies undergo a series of physical transformations known as metamorphosis. This program strives to support each of these young women in transforming from caterpillars, who thought they had seen all the world had to offer, to butterflies who see the world not as it is today, but as it will be in the future.
At the end of the program participants will:
- live independently as responsible, contributing citizens to the community,
- be enrolled in or have completed a post-secondary educational program that leads to a career,
- be productive, engaged and responsible parents to their children,
- be gainfully employed.
